What is THIS show?
From TRAX and the makers of Mortified— with funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting— Ooh You’re in Trouble is a podcast for tweens, parents and teachers about the rules we broke growing up… and what those moments teach kids about making smart decisions when grownups aren’t around.
Each episode features young people sharing stories of a moment they broke the rules growing up. The series explores why kids defy rules and what can we learn from it? From sneaking out of the house past curfew to organizing a protest, these are the stories of Rebels, Rascals, Rule Breakers, and even Revolutionaries. The result? A show that’s funny, educational, insightful and messy. Just like growing up.
WHO NARRATES TROUBLE?
Guiding listeners though the world of trouble, Merk Nguyen narrates the series as LV— that “little voice” inside your head. Best known as the co-host of Adult-ISH (from Radiotopia & YR Media), Merk Nguyen is a pun-and-hyphen-loving-LA-based podcast host with Seattle roots & aspirations to voice act in major motion family films.
She loves wordplay, alliterations and storytelling. Merk also wants you to know she’s the proud daughter of Vietnamese immigrants and left-handed (lefties, you are not alone!).
Who CREATES TROUBLE?
The show is created and produced by Mortified Media, makers of the Mortified podcast (which is a show growing up but FOR grownups) and card games like I Can’t Believe I Did That.
It’s produced for TRAX, a podcast network for tweens from PRX and made possible by a grant for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
